Automatic Transfer Switch is used to change the input power source between municipal power and generator, municipal power and solar, solar power and generator power, or two generators. This panelboard is used in cases where the power source is not stable so that the power connection can be provided manually from other power sources.
This type of panelboard includes an automatic switch and a metal enclosure. In fact, the only difference between the manual transfer switch and the automatic transfer switch is the way it works, automatic transfer switch does not require human effort and automatically switches power between different sources.
